15th International Workshop on the Frontiers of
Computational Geodynamics (WFCG 2018)
June 20-21, 2018, Beijing
The 15th International Workshop on the Frontiers of Computational Geodynamics (WFCG 2018) will be held 20-21 June 2018 in Beijing, China. Please mark these dates in your calendars now and pass on the information to your colleagues and students.
Sponsored and hosted by the Key Laboratory of Computational Geodynamics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the WFCC annual workshop series has been held successively since 2004, attracting scientists from China and all over the world. This year’s workshop will celebrate the 50-years anniversary of plate tectonics, and commemorate the 10-years anniversary of the great Wenchuan earthquake. Thus, in addition to computational geodynamics, we invite contributions from all fields of geoscience that showcase new advancement in plate tectonics and earthquake studies.
The official language of the workshop is English. International participants are waived of the registration fee, which covers meals and refreshments during the meeting. Limited support for lodging will be provided to international participants if needed. For further information, please contact Miss Yue Chang (changyue@ucas.ac.cn). To participate, please send the title and abstract (one page) of your presentation by 10 May, 2018 to changyue@ucas.ac.cn. We appreciate your contributions and look forward to welcoming you in Beijing.
Location: Yuquanlu campus
The meeting will be held at the Yuquanlu campus of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is conveniently located near downtown Beijing, 15 minutes from the Tiananmen Square by subway and roughly an hour from the Beijing International Airport.
